Recognised as one of Australia’s leading male singer/songwriters, prolific troubadour Edoardo Santoni has a deep-seated musical roots spanning across Australia’s songwriter scene as well as the Sydney jazz scene. His soulful & sincere sounding voice, dynamic stage presence and passion crosses somewhere between the classic folk/pop styles of the late 60’s/early 70’s era, classic Motown, Modern Soul & Jazz. Some of his major influences include Miles Davis, Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder, James Taylor, Kurt Elling, Jeff Buckley, Jamie Callum, Lee & Norah Jones. A graduate (and now tutor) at the Sydney Conservatorium Of Music he studied under Mike Nock, Judy Bailey and attended exclusive workshops by Kurt Elling, Mark Murphy and Shelia Jordan. He has received numerous industry accolades over the years including Triple J Airplay, Unearthed Features and uniquely, was the only male vocalist in the Wangaratta National Jazz Award Finals. He’s also performed alongside artists including Augie March, Damien Leith, Matt Corby, Rai Thistlethwayte and Phil Stack (Thirsty Merc) Jade Macrae & Tina Harrod at top live music venues such as Sydney Opera House, The Metro, The Basement, The Vanguard, The Forum Theatre, Bennetts Lane.
