Lisa is a gifted vocalist who first began performing at the tender age of 3, entertaining crowds in the waiting room of her parents’ surgery. After pursuing vocal training with Kerrie Biddell, Joy Yates and Kristin Berardi, she has gone on to sing professionally in a wide variety of contexts – from leading a swinging 18 piece Big Band at the Wangaratta and Manly Jazz Festivals, to more intimate performances with her Quartet in the smoky jazz clubs of Germany. Whilst living in Europe she was asked to sing for Helmut Kohl, the ex-Chancellor of Germany. On a more recent USA tour she was invited to join jazz vocal legend Bobby McFerrin, to perform an impromtu duet in front of a packed NYC concert hall. Closer to home, she has filled the City Recital Hall at Angel Place several times … but still gets just as much dizzy joy from singing in front of a happy couple swaying to their bridal waltz.
